On 3 March 2022, UNREC attended the UNCT meeting with the UNFPA USG/Executive Deputy Director, Ms. Diene KEITA who was on mission in Togo and was keen to get insights on possible joint UN engagement to address violent extremism in northern Togo and neighbouring countries based on respective comparative advantages of UNCT entities.

On 3 March 2022 , UNREC held a meeting with the leadership of the Togo’s chapter of the Women International League on Peace and Freedom (WILPF) to discuss areas of mutual interest, including UNREC support for the holding on 4 March of a training workshop for State and Civil Society Actors in prelude to the awareness campaign on the prohibition of nuclear weapons.

On 2 March 2022, UNREC attended the meeting of the Diplomatic Corps at the Prime Minister’s office on host government emergency plan for resilience in violent extremism affected region bordering Burkina Faso (Savannes region).

On 2 February, UNREC participated in a UNIDIR-African Union-ECOWAS International Cyber Crisis virtual workshop including delivering opening remarks. UNREC provided support to secure interoperation and related administrative tasks.

On 16 December 2021, UNREC held a virtual meeting with the Delegate General for Peace and Security of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) and his Assistant on possible areas of collaboration between the two institutions.

On 16 December 2021, UNREC Director received the courtesy visit of the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Togo, H.E. Nei FUTURO. Possible collaboration with Brazil peace/diplomatic institutes were discussed.

On 15 December 2021, UNREC took part in the UNCT meeting on security and covid-19 related priorities.
